These terms describe how the Flash Lamps website is used and the basis on which items are offered. Terms that depend on the operator's trading arrangements are identified rather than assumed. Nothing here removes rights you have under consumer law.
Using this website
The content on this site is provided to describe the lamp types offered and to help you decide what to look for. Room photographs illustrate placement; they are not a representation of a specific item for sale.
Orders and acceptance
An order becomes binding when it is accepted and confirmed. The confirmation sets out the item ordered, the price paid and the delivery arrangements that apply. If an item is unavailable or a price has been shown incorrectly, we will contact you before anything is charged or sent.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling. Any delivery charge, and any tax that applies, is identified before an order is completed. Payment is taken through the payment provider shown at checkout; card details are not held by this website.
Delivery
Delivery area, cost and expected timing are confirmed for the individual order before it is placed. Please check the item as soon as it arrives and keep the packaging while you do.
Your right to cancel
Where you are a consumer buying at a distance, you normally have 14 days from the day you receive the item to cancel the order without giving a reason. Tell us you are cancelling in writing, then return the item in the condition required by law. The cost of returning an item is handled as set out in the order confirmation; where the law places that cost on the consumer, it is stated before you order.
Faulty or incorrect items
If an item arrives damaged, faulty or is not what you ordered, contact us with your order reference and, where possible, photographs. Do not send anything back before we confirm the return instructions.
Safety and use
Lamps must be assembled, positioned and used as set out in the instructions supplied with them. Use only compatible bulbs within the stated rating. If a cable, fitting or other electrical part appears damaged, stop using the lamp.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Beyond that, liability is limited to the amount paid for the item concerned.
Refunds
Once a returned item reaches us and has been checked, we refund the amount you paid for it to the original payment method. If an item arrives faulty, or it is not the item you ordered, tell us and we will put it right. Where you cancel within the cancellation period set out above, we refund the price you paid for the cancelled item.
Governing law
These terms are governed by applicable law, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute. Consumer rights in your country of residence are not affected.
